Lauren Price secured a victory over Lolita Muzeya on Saturday night, but it didn't come under the circumstances she would have wanted.

The pair went head-to-head on the undercard of the rematch between Liam Smith and Chris Eubank Jr in Manchester.

Olympic gold medallist Price showed her quality, as she was dominating the fight until the doctor called for a stoppage.

In round five, Price dropped Muzeya to the canvas with a brutal combination, but the Zambian made it back to her feet.

In the exchange, the two fighters clashed heads and it left Muzeya with a nasty cut over her left eye.

The round then ended, but in the sixth, Muzeya had blood pouring down her face and the doctor could not allow the fight to continue.

The fight then went to the scorecards with Price awarded the victory.

After the result was confirmed, Price, who has already won a British title, was asked whether she wants to fight former world champion Mikaela Mayer or current welterweight and unified super-welterweight title holder, Natasha Jonas, next.

"I respect both girls for what they've done for women's boxing," Price said in her post-fight interview.

"For myself, Tash has the belt and I respect her 100%, but I wanna be chasing world titles.

"We're both British and it would be an honour to share the ring with her."
