I got brutally knocked out by beast Canelo Alvarez – Terence Crawford shouldn’t jump up three weight classes

Amir Khan has felt first hand the power Canelo Alvarez possesses and has advised Terence Crawford to avoid the Mexican.
The unbeaten American has been vocal in his quest to set up an undisputed vs undisputed dust-up against the four-weight world champion.
Crawford called out the 33-year-old last month following his stunning knockout victory over welterweight rival Errol Spence Jr.
And Canelo is up for the challenge, although he will first have to get past Jermell Charlo when he defends his four super-middleweight belts on September 30.
'Bud' is keen to test himself against the winner, though this would require him to jump up three weight classes should Canelo get the win.
Someone who has some experience of that is British icon Khan, who moved up two weight classes in 2016 to fight Canelo.
Though it ultimately ended badly for the Bolton native, as he was stopped in spectacular fashion.
As a result, Khan, who lost against Crawford in controversial fashion in 2019, does not think it would be a good idea for his former foe to do the same.
He told : "I don’t think that should happen.
"Look, I like Crawford [but] I think Canelo is a beast at that weight, honestly.
"I would advise Crawford not to do that.”
But, the 40-0 star is confident in his abilities and is looking to etch his name in boxing folklore.
Speaking on the , he said: "It’s greatness. This is my era and I’m taking it. Ain’t nobody gonna stop me.
"Now that I’ve switched gears, I know I wanted to fight Jermell, but if he loses to Canelo — I’ve always said that’s a big step.
“That’s a big step but for a person to go up three weight classes from 147 to 168 [lbs] and to win and to become undisputed ... wow. What can they say?”
