Aaron Chalmers and Idris Virgo almost come to blows during fiery face-off ahead of latest Misfits event

The Misfits 009 card almost got started a day early.
Ex-Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers is set to headline KSI’s latest boxing show when he takes on Love Island heartthrob Idris Virgo in Newcastle on Saturday night
On Friday afternoon, both men weighed in just below the 175lb light heavyweight limit before going nose-to-nose in a staredown that quickly turned ugly.
Virgo and Chalmers traded insults in front of an audience before their heads clashed and the dating show star responded by pushing Chalmers and saying: ‘Get out of my f****** face!’
Virgo pushed the hometown favourite two more times while shouting expletives before members of security finally stepped in to end the face-off.
The Newcastle native recently made it clear he’s not the biggest fan of Virgo, but he insists he respects the 12-0-1 professional boxer and understands he is the underdog ahead of their fight.
“He’s a mouthpiece, he f****** loves everything for social media,” Chalmers told marvelbet369.com about Virgo ahead of Misfits 009.
“I’m not taking anything away, he is a good boxer. I’m not going to sit here and say, ‘He’s s***’ because I know he’s not and I know it’s going to be a hard night’s work to get the win.
“That’s what I’ve been preparing for and I’m ready to go into the trenches to get that win.
"I’ve fought in Newcastle a few times and it’s literally amazing. It’s always nice to walk out in an arena full of cheers because many a time I’ve been on the f****** receiving end of boos."
Chalmers, who went eight rounds with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in London earlier this year, is hoping to end Virgo’s unbeaten run and wants to do so in devastating fashion.
He added: “It’s all about making Idris as uncomfortable as possible. We have a game plan, and I can’t see anything other than me walking away with a win.
“I would f****** love to knock him out. I would absolutely love to knock him out cold. That’s no disrespect to the man, but in fights, I’m not in there to hang around and go to points.
"F*** that! I want to be knocking people out because that is what everybody talks about.”
Chalmers, who enjoyed a fairly successful MMA career before transitioning to boxing in 2022, is hoping he will get the chance to fight Jake Paul in either sport before he retires.
Meanwhile, Virgo has his sights set on fellow Love Island star Tommy Fury.
In May, the pair got into a ringside brawl and it appears they have unresolved beef ahead of Tyson Fury’s little brother’s fight with KSI in Manchester on October 14.
Fury and Virgo could be matched up if they both win their upcoming fights.
