Exclusive – Hearn: Froch will retire unless right offer arrives

Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn claims Carl Froch will retire unless the right offer arrives at his door.
The Nottingham-born fighter saw off George Groves in their Wembley rematch on Saturday night and has targeted a big-money fight in Las Vegas.
But the 32-year-old’s representative Hearn believes Froch may call time on his career.
“If the right opportunity doesn’t arrive then it’s a definite possibility that Froch will retire,” he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show. “What a time to walk away it would be though. He’s fought in the national stadium and come through a rough spell.
“He had a great period after the Lucian Bute fight where he beat Yusaf Mack and Mikkel Kessler. His profile was at an all-time high.
“Then he fought George Groves, gave a terrible post fight interview, and was a slight villain again.
“Now he’s come back and he’s changed that. He’ll be on a high at the moment. That was the pinnacle of his career. That was his crowning moment.”
