Paulie Malignaggi believes Jermell Charlo's aim against Canelo was not to get hurt, rather than to win.

On Saturday night, Canelo comfortably beat Charlo by unanimous decision, after the American decided to jump up two weight classes to challenge for the undisputed super-middleweight world titles.

But former two-weight world champion, Malignaggi, thinks Charlo didn't make a real effort to win the fight.

"Charlo hasn't made a committed effort to try to win this fight all night," Malignaggi tweeted.

"He showed up for a check and is fighting like a guy more focused on not getting hurt than he is to win."

And it seems Malignaggi is not the only one to hold this opinion, as current undisputed welterweight champion Terence Crawford tweeted the same sentiment.

"Jermell Charlo, you went out sad," Crawford said.

"Didn’t even try to win, all you did was try to survive. You should be ashamed of yourself."

Meanwhile, Charlo called out Crawford for a fight back down in the 154 lb division, but after seeing him struggle against Canelo, 'Bud' is no longer interested.

"Ok y’all I’m over Jermell Charlo he’s no longer on my hit list," Crawford revealed.

"He went out there and laid down and let Canelo spank him like he was his daddy with no type of resistance."
