Ringside footage shows Floyd Mayweather congratulating Canelo Alvarez and showing respect after Jermell Charlo win

It has taken ten years, but it appears Floyd Mayweather and Canelo Alvarez have finally moved on from their fight.
In September 2013, the American boxing great put on a masterful performance as he outclassed his Mexican foe, handing him his first professional defeat.
Canelo was just 23 when he took on 36-year-old Mayweather, and ultimately proved to be far out of his depth in the ring with the pound-for-pound king at the time.
In the decade since though, Alvarez has gone on to build an astonishing record of his own including wins over the likes of Gennady Golovkin and Sergey Kovalev.
He stands today as a four-weight world champion, undisputed super-middleweight world champion, and even held Mayweather's old spot as pound-for-pound king for a few years.
Despite all of this success, there has always been an element of bitterness from both Canelo and Mayweather when asked about each other over the past ten years.

As recently as the end of 2021, Mayweather ranted after a Gervonta Davis fight, accusing the Mexican of ducking David Benavidez.
While Canelo has consistently fired back by insisting that if the American had faced him in his prime rather than when he was just 23, he wouldn't have stood a chance.
Now, finally, this feud appears to have been put to bed.
On fight week prior to his win over Jermell Charlo at the weekend, Canelo told the Full Send Podcast about Mayweather: "He was the better man that night. He's a great fighter. But I learned a lot.
