Ahead of his first squared circle bout on October 14, Danis has taken to social media to show off the physique he’s been working on in camp.

Fresh off an apparent gym session, Conor McGregor's long-time teammate is seen covered in sweat and flexing to show off the abs that are protruding through his stomach.

While he appears to be in fine shape, it was the caption Danis used that got the attention of the people who follow him on X – formerly known as Twitter.

“I am boxing,” he wrote alongside the snap that has been viewed by 3.3 million people in 12 hours.

While some fans took Danis’ comment in the light-hearted nature it was intended, others flooded his replies to remind him about his standing in the sport, predict Paul will beat him, and comment on his body.

Undefeated boxer Idris Virgo said: "No you aint.”

Someone else wrote: “Brother, you aren't even fitbox.”

Another person commented: "You're getting absolutely battered by Logan let's be real lil bro."

A fourth person joked: “This looks like a before picture without the after.”

In between his social media posts that have landed him in hot water, Danis has been working on his striking skills with former UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira.

The 30-year-old hasn’t fought under any ruleset since July 2019.

Danis suffered a serious knee injury that derailed his MMA career and has kept him sidelined for years.

Meanwhile, Paul has had three boxing matches – two against KSI and one against Floyd Mayweather – since August 2018

The YouTuber and WWE superstar is a big favourite to beat Danis next weekend.
