Neither could land a telling blow while Fury was the massive favourite to win before the contest finished, and TNT himself promising to deliver a knockout in the build-up.

However, the fight went to the judges with two scoring it 57-56 to Fury and another 56-56, though it has since emerged that the scorecards were added up wrong.

"But we knew it was going to be a stink-fest because there was one man who didn't want to come and fight.

"Where I come from in the gyms, you stand there and you have a fight. This guy was hopping up and down in the ring and didn't want to engage.

"It was a scrappy affair. My dad called it two weeks ago and said it was going to be a messy fight.

"It was a horrible fight, I've not even watched it back and I'm not sure I'll want to watch it back because I was useless in there tonight but still got the win.

"On a s*** performance, I still came out with a win."

The fight between Fury and KSI, which has received plenty of hype in the past few months, failed to live up to the billing.

As a spectacle, fans were left unimpressed by the constant embraces and bizarre footwork, breaking up any sort of momentum.

Fury was also docked a point early in the fight for punching KSI in the back of the head in the second round.

The former Love Island star said: "I thought it was ridiculous. In the professional fights, proper fights, you're meant to have a couple of offences. The first time I did it, bang, a point off.

"But he didn't get a point off for holding all the fight. What's that about?"
