Ringside footage shows Anthony Joshua’s two-word message to Andy Ruiz after win over Otto Wallin

Anthony Joshua shared a ringside moment with Andy Ruiz following his impressive victory over Otto Wallin.

The British heavyweight left his opponent bloodied, with Wallin's corner forced to stop the fight at the end of round five after Joshua landed a thunderous combination.

Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn sang his man's praises after the technical knockout win, stating how big 2024 is going to be for him.

It looks as though Joshua is just as confident about the next year, too, as he continues his quest to return to the top of the heavyweight division.

Ringside footage after the fight shows AJ leaning over the ropes and shaking former heavyweight champion Ruiz's hand, who was watching on in Saudi Arabia.

Joshua famously lost his belts to Ruiz in June 2019, before picking up a unanimous decision victory in a rematch later that year to claim them back.

"It looked like he went up to Andy Ruiz and said 'I'm back'," former talkSPORT host Laura Woods said on TNT's coverage of the fight.

Ruiz is then seen smiling and giving his former opponent a thumbs up.

The American boxer hasn't fought in over a year due to battling a shoulder injury but is looking to return to the ring next year.

“I feel really good, and it's amazing to be back in Saudi Arabia, it's where I need to be. In 2024, we're coming back,” he told TNT Sports.

“I had surgery on my right shoulder, so I already had two months preparing and recovering. I need two more months and I'll be ready to go next year.

“I need to check out all the opponents and need to get ready. In 2024 is when it's going to go down.”

Meanwhile, Joseph Parker outboxed Deontay Wilder, potentially scuppering plans of a Joshua vs Wilder showdown.
