Security intervene to calm Bill Haney down as Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney almost stage street fight at Super Bowl press event

Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia almost fought hours after they were officially booked to box each other on April 20.

The pair clashed six times as amateurs, with Haney winning three times and Garcia also claiming victory on three occasions.

Since then, Haney has put together a perfect 31-0 professional record and gone on to become an undisputed world champion at lightweight - he also holds the WBC super lightweight belt.

Garcia is yet to fight for a world title and he has suffered one loss, getting knocked out by Gervonta 'Tank' Davis, but he bounced back last time out against Oscar Duarte and he has put together a record of 24-1, with 20 KO's.

On Friday, their tiebreaker fight in the paid ranks was confirmed by Golden Boy and Matchroom Boxing who will co-promote the fight, which will be available on DAZN pay-per-view.

“Game 7 this one is for everything... it counts now Devin. This fight for me means everything,” Garcia wrote on as he confirmed the fight is a done deal.

“This is what I meant when I spoke on PBD [Patrick Bet-David’s] podcast. ‘I’m coming back for everything in Blood.’ I ask you guys to pray for Devin and his health. Pray his dad stops this fight.

“[Devin] will be needed to be carried out if this fight doesn’t get stopped at the appropriate time.”

Garcia was soon forced to back up his words when he ran into Haney in Las Vegas, and that’s exactly what he did as he strutted over to his rival to bad-mouth him in person.

“Your dad is a pimp, and he’s pimping you,” Garcia said.

“I’m gonna beat you! I’m gonna beat you! P****!”

“You suck! Your dad can’t talk for you, your dad can’t save you.”

Haney barked back at his ‘whack’ next opponent, but he struggled to silence Garcia, who claimed to have seen footage of Davis wobbling the champion in sparring.

“I beat the s*** out of ‘Tank'. I’ll beat the s*** out of you,” Haney fired back.

Garcia continued to get in Haney’s face while telling him he was ‘scared’ and ‘won’t do s***’ before finally taking things to the next level by pushing his rival.

Haney responded by trying to attack Garcia, but several bystanders swiftly jumped in to separate the two men and prevent them from giving away something they plan to sell to the masses for free.

The scuffle didn't end there. As security stood between them, Haney and Garcia continued to flap their gums at each other before things got physical again.

After Garcia attempted to push through a bodyguard to get at his rival, Devin's father decided to literally try to fight his son's battle for him.

Bill Haney attempted to charge through a crowd of people to attack Garcia, but he was prevented from doing so, and everyone eventually parted ways without any punches being thrown.
