No chances were taken as a group of security guards were drafted in for talkSPORT’s joint interview with Josh Taylor and Jack Catterall.

The super-lightweight rivals met in the talkSPORT studio on Wednesday as they continue to promote their eagerly anticipated rematch scheduled for April 27.

Taylor and Catterall have already come together twice this week.

During their first meeting since ‘The Tartan Tornado’ controversially beat Catterall via a split decision to retain his undisputed super-lightweight world titles in 2022 things got extremely heated.

Catterall grabbed his rival by the throat when they faced off.

A day later, they came together again in Manchester, and things got physical again after Taylor jokingly gifted Catterall some crayons.

The hometown favourite responded by smacking him on the back of his head, with security quick to intervene to avoid a repeat of the day before.

Before they went at each other for the third time in three days, talkSPORT host Jim White highlighted the precautions in place to prevent another scuffle.

The broadcasting legend pointed out a three-man security team joined him Simon Jordan, Danny Murphy, and the boxers to stop them from trying to start their fight early again.

One of the security team named ‘Phil’ was the only thing keeping Taylor and Catterall apart as they verbally abused each other during another fiery meeting.

The pair exchanged insults and contradictory fight predictions, but thankfully their White & Jordan appearance came to an end without a physical confrontation.

Taylor attempted to rile up Catterall by giving him a teddy bear and naming it 'Chippy' after repeatedly mocking his rival's weight by branding him 'chippy t**s'

Catterall, who predicts he'll retire Taylor when they rematch in Leeds in a few months time, accepted the gift and the pair parted ways on fairly decent terms.

Taylor and Catterall even shook hands live on air before heading back home to train for a massive grudge match that they both need to win.
