'Benzo' is known to wind up his opponent during his contests, and it appears he did exactly that, but this time also to Willings' trainer who was loudly shouting instructions from the corner.

Footage from ringside has now emerged of Whittaker arguing with the coach, who first bellowed: "He's getting p***ed off."

Whittaker stopped and gestured to the coach to stop his shouting.

But Willings' trainer was infuriated and shouted again: "Shut up you little rat."

The former Olympic medalist once again paused unloading his barrage of shots, to gesture for the coach to sit down and be quiet, while shouting an inaudible response.

In a second clip, Whittaker's rival tumbled to the canvas in a slip, to which his coach once again shouted: "He's fuming."

The crowd favourite again elected to signal for the furious cornerman to stop getting involved, in a simply incredible exchange during the round.

This shows exactly how confident the 26-year-old is, when he is able to simply pause mid-flow and confront an angry heckler.

This win wasn't as routine as previous for Whittaker though, who was often left stunned by his rival's resilient attempts to fight back throughout.

Although after the fight, he claimed that he let his opponent hit back to prove to critics that he is punch resistant.

Tony Bellew calls talkSPORT to defend Ben Whittaker's showboating but warns him what he'd have done if he was taunted

He said post-fight: "It was a disciplined performance but I broke him down and looked good while doing it.

"I kind of let him hit me if I'm honest. I have a very good chin, people think because I dance around and make them miss that I can't take a shot.

"I can take shots and I just wanted to show that. I'm injury free and ready to go next week.

"2024 will be The Surgeon's year."
