Ryan Garcia got the biggest win of his career on Saturday night.

The former training partner of Canelo Alvarez dropped WBC super lightweight titleholder Devin Haney three times en route to a majority decision victory at the Barclays Center in New York.

The 25-year-old floored Haney in the seventh, tenth and eleventh rounds, with the champion forced to climb from the canvas for the first time in his professional career

Following 12 rounds of pulsating action, which was called the 'craziest fight’ ever by YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, the three ringside judges declared Garcia the winner with 112-112, 114-110, 115-109 scorecards.

A breakdown of their round-by-round scores became available online soon after, and some fans were not happy with the judge who had the fight a draw.

One person commented: “The first card is an abomination.”

Another said: “Fire the 1st judge.”

A third fan wrote: “The 112-112 judge is why boxing is a joke.”

Someone else fumed: “Having it a DRAW is CRAZY!!! They should never be allowed to judge a fight ever again.”

Despite picking up the biggest win of his career, Garcia still hasn’t done enough to become a world champion because he missed weight and was therefore ineligible to win Haney’s WBC belt.

Haney retained his belt even though Garcia got his hand raised.

The long-time rivals, who fought six times as amateurs, embraced following their fight, but they will soon go back to trading verbal blows to promote a rematch.

Fans worry as Ryan Garcia chugs beer on the scales at weigh-in and misses weight for title fight against Devin Haney

Haney called for a redo in the immediate aftermath of his first pro loss.

He tweeted: “Alhamdulillah Allah is the perfect planner he makes no mistakes.. fought like a true champion. Got up off the canvas & kept fighting.

"I am 100% ok & would love to do it again while we both make weight.”

A rematch between Garcia and Haney will hopefully take place later this year.
