Legendary rappers Cam’ron and Ma$e claimed they turned down the opportunity to walk out Mike Tyson.

Heavyweight legend Tyson is set to return to the ring aged 58 against Jake Paul on July 20, in a huge showdown which has raised concerns given their 31-year age gap.

Further doubts were raised over the sanctioned bout, after it was reported Tyson suffered a medical incident on a plane, where he complained of feeling 'nauseous' after an 'ulcer flare-up'.

American rap-duo-turned-sportscasters Cam'ron and Ma$e have suggested it was this incident that will see them now turn down an alleged offer to perform for Tyson's ring walk.

A member of the duo said on : "They offered us the walk-out with Mike Tyson. This was before this incident and I’m like, ‘I’m not sure if I want to do that.’

"Now, I’m probably not going to do it. Cause I don’t want n****s blaming me for nothing when he don’t win. If we walk Mike out and Mike don’t win, I don’t know if I need that type of pressure.”

The other member of the popular pair, added: “I hope Mike is well but it sounds like Mike is trying to get a way out.

"I know he shouldn’t need one but if they took him off this plane, we want to make sure he’s well. But are we having a fight or not?

"Is the fight still on? Before this, I had Mike winning the fight. Now, I don’t know.”

It will be a huge event, but Tyson will now be forced to find another musical performance for his walk-out at the AT&T Stadium.

The former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world did come out and suggest he would still be in great shape and that the fight will go ahead.

Paul echoed his sentiments, and insisted he would still go after the all-important KO to add to his professional record.

Tyson hasn't fought competitively since retiring after defeat to Kevin McBride in 2005.

He has been training hard for the showdown, and is in a full training camp despite his medical scare from which he has posted regular footage.

Paul has bulked up to the same weight as 'Iron Mike' for the fight in order to bridge the gap of any physical advantages he may have.

He has explained that he intends to stop Tyson from bullying him with his power in the ring.

"Everything has been good but it's been a little transition moving to heavyweight,"

"I definitely needed to put on weight so that I'm able to compete with Mike Tyson and so that he's not able to throw me around in the ring.

"We've been sparring heavyweights and eating more food. Mike Tyson has called me fat but I believe fat will turn into muscle.

"And come fight night I believe I will be able to move and dance around the ring like a true heavyweight."
