Mike Perry is out to crush Jake Paul's lofty ambitions and pave the way for his own.

'Platinum' has been drafted in to face Paul on July 20 following the postponement of 'The Problem Child's' controversial clash with Mike Tyson.

Paul and Tyson were supposed to meet on the same date, however, their heavyweight showdown has been pushed back to November 15 after the boxing legend suffered an ulcer flare-up on a flight to Los Angeles that left him medically unfit to compete this summer.

If he beats Perry and Tyson, Paul aims to compete for a cruiserweight world title by the end of 2025.

But Perry, a 5-0 bare-knuckle boxing champion and former UFC star, intends to halt Paul in part one of his three-step plan - and then land his own fight with Tyson followed by a shot at UFC gold.

"I mean, s***, I might take the Mike Tyson fight from Jake," Perry said on Sean O'Malley's .

"I think I f****** deserve it. But, does that change everything? I mean, if everyone is gonna buy for Jake, they already have Netflix.

"If they're gonna watch and they're gonna do it for Jake and then they're like, 'Oh, this guy beat Jake.... this guy wasn't a Disney kid and he's just a real person.'

"I'm a regular guy who did martial arts, and now I got a big fight.

"I don't care about all the stipulations, man. I just win this fight. And then, sky's the limit."

The UFC titlist Perry has in mind is Alex Pereira, the reigning light-heavyweight champion and former middleweight champion.

Pereira seems more concerned with moving up to heavyweight and becoming the first three-weight title holder in UFC history although Perry won't let that deter him.

"I'm not gonna lie, man, I've been thinking about, when I beat up Jake, like, that's the call out for me... I want to throw hands with Alex Pereira," Perry added.

Jake Paul teases bare-knuckle boxing debut as he discusses a potential rematch with Mike Perry after his Mike Tyson fight

"Because who the f*** else is there for me to throw hands with, bro? He's just clocking everybody left and right.

"I wanna show, hey, look like I got skills with the hands department."

Perry left the UFC in 2021 to pursue a career in bare-knuckle boxing with BKFC and hasn't competed in MMA since.

It goes without saying that Perry, who competed at welterweight during his five-year tenure with MMA's premier promotion, is not going to automatically land a shot at the 205lbs king but the boy can dream.
