And the MMA legend picked up a majority decision win in a hugely entertaining showdown, as the judges handed him the initiative on the judges' scorecards.

After the victory, Diaz proceeded to call out YouTube star Jake Paul with a fiery message after the final bell.

Paul filmed his reaction after Diaz took the microphone, first mocking the former UFC star for his speech.

The 'Problem Child' then reached for his neck as if checking a pulse, and added: "Yep, my heart is still beating."

Paul then added in a caption on his tweet: "F**k you Nate Diaz.

"You’re a hoe who ducked my PFL $15m MMA offer. Masvidal trash too shake my head."

Diaz and Paul have met in the boxing ring previously, with Diaz being dropped and beaten on his debut in August 2023.

Immediately after the clash, the pair spoke about a high-profile rematch, but it has yet to materialise.

He suggested the pair could meet in MMA in their sequel, but as of yet Paul has yet to step into the cage under the PFL banner.

Diaz outpointed rival 'Gamebred' over ten rounds in his latest fight under boxing rules, and looked far more convincing in his second time round.

The Stockton native was known for his fearsome striking and entertaining style in the UFC, and he is trying to replicate it in the squared circle.

It is unclear what exactly is next for the 39-year-old, but he has suggested he wants to face a 'high-ranked' boxer and UFC champion Leon Edwards.

He said in his post-fight speech: ""I'm gonna beat Jake Paul's f***ing ass.

"And I'm down to fight the highest-ranked boxer I can find.

"Get someone on a high level so people know who the f*** he is.

"My main objective has always been to be the best fighter in the world, so I wanna go back and get the UFC title.

"Leon Edwards, Jake Paul, and anybody the f*** else, you're dead."
