NBA legend Kevin Durant didn't have much interest in a fight with Jake Paul.

Durant is considered one of the greatest NBA players of all-time, and is currently plying his trade at the Phoenix Suns.

Celebrity boxing has been climbing in notoriety in recent years since YouTube stars including Jake and Logan Paul climbed into the ring several years ago.

And on the latest episode of his podcast, the elder Paul sibling asked the legendary American if he would touch gloves with his brother Jake.

Durant hilariously responded: "No, hell no. Nah man I see how he did a couple of NBA players.

"This man has been training for a long time. How long has he been training. Like come on bro.

"Of course I will watch his fight with Mike Tyson though. This is a young man's sport man."

Durant has had a whole host of personal accolades including being selected as a 14-time NBA All-Star.

The 35-year-old has also won two NBA Championships and three gold medals at the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games.

But now appears to have ruled out an appearance in the squared circle with focus on his career on the court.

Paul has already fought an ex-NBA player in the shape of Nate Robinson, who he knocked out on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr in 2020.

He has since gone on to have eight more boxing fights including against a whole host of ex-UFC stars such as Nate Diaz and Anderson Silva.

The 'Problem Child' has shown signs of improvement but has one defeat on his record against Tommy Fury last February.

He has a busy upcoming schedule with bare-knuckle boxer Mike Perry in his next outing on July 20.

A win will then set up his rescheduled clash with heavyweight legend Mike Tyson on November 15.

The fight has received widespread criticism given Tyson is now 58-years-old and is far from his heavyweight prime.

But his manager Nakisa Bidarian believes it makes sense as a showdown given their experience deficit.

He said: "Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul makes sense because of the age from my perspective.

"If Mike was in his early 30s given Jake's experience it wouldn't make much sense, age is the equalising factor.

"If you look at Mike Tyson at age 27, he was 40-1, Jake Paul is 27 and he's 9-1.

"So what makes this fight exciting and what makes it real is that there is a chance that either guy can lose and if you actually talk to the vast majority of the public and you look at the polls we have done everyone thinks that Mike Tyson is going to knock out Jake Paul.

"So I think as long as he has a clean bill of health and he 100 percent will if we move forward with November 15, which we plan to, then of course that fight should happen."
