Groves wins the European super-middleweight title

George Groves comfortably beat France's Christopher Rebrasse to comfortably win the European super-middleweight title at Wembley Arena.

The Brit, 26, controlled the bout from start to finish to win a unanimous decision and line up a a shot at WBC champion Anthony Dirrell.

Two judges scored the fight 118-110, with another making it 117-111, as Groves easily saw off Rebrasse, who was unable to keep up.

Immediately after the match the London-born fighter called out ringside television pundit Carl Froch and demanded another shot at the IBF and WBA champion.

However, Froch, who knocked out Groves in the second of their high-profle title bouts back in May, laughed off any prospect of another rematch.
