A special three-fight boxing show will take place on the iconic Santa Monica Pier at the end of this month.

Prior to Terence Crawford's clash with Israil Madrimov on Saturday, August 3, the American boxing star will host a fight week public workout as usual on Wednesday, July 31.

However, in a unique twist the workout will be followed by an actual boxing event.

HE Turki Alalshikh, who is staging the 'Riyadh Season Card' headlined by Crawford, announced the rare move this week.

It will be the first professional boxing event ever to take place on Santa Monica Pier.

Three up and coming prospects will appear on the card.

And opening the card, Nathan Lugo meets Ray Corona.

Lugo is a 1-0 (1 KO) American super-middleweight prospect recently signed by Frank Warren due to his impressive amateur career.

“I feel very honoured coming straight out of the amateurs and immediately stepping into a powerhouse promotional company such as Queensberry,” Lugo said.

“It has a very rich and amazing history within the sport and promotes the careers of today’s best boxers. I know with their guidance and leadership I will make history.”
