Floyd Mayweather: ‘If Conor McGregor really wanted to fight, we could make it happen’ – LISTEN

Floyd Mayweather says he is ready and willing to make a fight with Conor McGregor happen, insisting it is down to the Irishman to get the go-ahead.
Undefeated boxing legend Mayweather and UFC superstar McGregor have flirted with the idea of a money-spinning crossover fight for some time.
The American has been accused of 'running scared' by McGregor, but he has told Gareth A Davies there's only one man holding up a deal.
The 40-year-old former five-division world champion, who promotes himself, said: "There's a difference between being an employee and an employer.
"If someone says 'I want to fight Floyd Mayweather', I can simply say 'yes, let's make it happen'. But when you've got a guy like Conor McGregor, he has to talk to Dana White [the UFC president]. Then Dana White has to talk to his bosses.
"Conor's not a shot-caller. When they said 'why is Floyd Mayweather not fighting Manny Pacquiao?', it was because Manny Pacquiao had a boss. I don't have a boss. We could have easily made the fight happen years ago.
"Everything happens for a reason. With that being said, if Conor McGregor really wanted to fight me, we could make it happen."
