The heavyweight landscape shifted dramatically last weekend as Anthony Joshua defeated Wladimir Klitschko with an eleventh round knockout in front of 90,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.

(Bulgarian heavyweight Kubrat Pulev also won at the weekend, but the less said about him going the distance with Kevin Johnson the better.)

Joshua’s victory over former long-reigning champion Klitschko sparked a lot of debate on social media as to who we should now consider to be the true heavyweight champion of the world.

Joshua clearly has a claim to the throne as he now holds two of the four recognised world titles. Also in with a shout are Deontay Wilder and Joseph Parker who are both unbeaten and also hold a belt each. And then there’s Tyson Fury, the lineal (man who beat the man) and Ring Magazine champion who certainly must not be forgotten.
