Jake Paul accepts call-out from heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois who made world title offer in private message

Jake Paul is ready to step in and fight IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois in a stunning clash.
YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul burst back into the spotlight as he defeated 58-year-old heavyweight legend Mike Tyson in a seismic event in Texas at the weekend.
The fight saw viewership records smashed and as a result, a whole host of call-outs from the world of professional boxing have followed.
Artur Beterbiev offered Paul a shot at his undisputed light-heavyweight titles, which 'El Gallo' issued a brutal but cryptic response to.
Kevin Lerena also offered Paul a fight for the WBC bridgerweight title, a call-out he has yet to address.
But in perhaps the most bizarre of all, Paul has now revealed he has been called out by Dubois, who recently made a first defence of his title with a stunning win over Anthony Joshua.
The private Instagram message leaked by Paul, read: "Hi Jake, good business on the weekend.
"But how would you feel fighting for the legitimate heavyweight championship of the world.
"This is Daniel Dubois calling you out, now let's get it on."
Paul replied to the message in a public tweet: "Man been boxing for 12 years.
"He has over 100 fights between amateur and pro and fought on my undercard hahaha.
"But f*** it, I’m going to have Nakisa [Bidarian, Paul's advisor] talk to Frankie Warren [Dubois' promoter] and get you in line for the throne.
"Unlike Artur [Beterbiev], at least you have a few thousand fans."
It is a highly unlikely encounter but not impossible, with Dubois' rematch against Joshua now unlikely to happen in 2025.
Dubois has been declared to make a voluntary defence of his belt in February, but the fight would need to be against a top-15 ranked opponent.
The IBF mandatory will then be due later in the year, and it unlikely the governing body will sanction Paul to leapfrog all of the legitimate contenders.
It would take several hurdles being jumped over to make the fight, and any bout in February could be too soon for Paul anyway.
But Dubois has teamed up with Paul before, beating Joe Cusumano on the undercard of Paul's first win over Tyron Woodley in August 2021.
Paul did not perform his best when making the leap up to heavyweight, where it was his debut against Tyson.
And in his post-fight assessment he suggested he would be most open to fighting 168lbs champion Canelo Alvarez if he gets a shot at a belt.
He said: "Canelo needs me, so I'm not even going to try and call him out.
"He knows he wants a payday. So, he knows where the money man is at.
"He's going to want a payday and I want to show the world all the [stuff] I've been talking about beating Canelo is true and I'll have the biggest upset in the history of boxing.
"We'll fight to really see who is the face [of boxing] because, after this event, I'm going to be claiming it."
