Jake Paul's bout with Mike Tyson was a 'farce', an 'embarrassment to professional boxing' and should never have taken place.

That's the view of talkSPORT co-host Simon Jordan, who has ripped into the Texas Commission for sanctioning the fight between the pair.

Tyson, who hung up his gloves in 2005, returned to the ring on Friday in the paid ranks at the age of 58 where he lost to YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul on points.

There was a 31-year age gap between the two men, and it showed, with 'Iron Mike' looking a shadow of his former destructive self.

From the eight-round affair, the once 'Baddest Man on the Planet' landed just 18 per cent of his 97 punches thrown at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Paul meanwhile landed 78 from his 278 punches, with the 'Problem Child' - now 12-1 inside the squared circle - easing off from the third round with it clear to all that Tyson was struggling with the intensity.

Despite the event being one of the most-watched boxing fights at all-time, it has attracted widespread criticism, with Paul's rival KSI labelling it as 'elderly abuse'.

And now boxing fan and ex-Crystal Palace owner Jordan has had say on the bout, which he revealed he refused to watch.

In the latest episode of , Jordan announced he was protesting against the producer's wishes to start the show by discussing Paul's points victory over Tyson.

He adamantly stated: "I am refusing to start this show with Tyson vs Paul, I'm going to put that further down in the schedule."

Later in the episode, Jordan labelled Paul's dust-up with Tyson as a 'farce' and an 'embarrassment to professional boxing,' but it was on White and Jordan show where he really exploded.

In a video that is close to 200,000 views since it's on Monday, Jordan said: "I didn't think it was worth watching.

"How you characterise this fight, the simpering, sycophantic drivel that we listen to from people like Gareth A Davies and Spencer [Oliver] trying to create an event out there.

"You've got a 58-year-old man that's moving towards osteoporosis and a pension draw rather than being an athlete.

"The problem I have with it, is if you're going to classify it as a professional fight, then there's something wrong with that.

"The Texas commission, we've seen it before, we've seen the Floridian commissions that allow things to go on that other commissions wouldn't.

"We saw Tyson, not in his pomp, but when I went to see him fight Lennox Lewis in Memphis [June 2002], because he could only be licensed in Memphis, because of his behaviour outside the ring and inside with his issues with Evander Holyfield.

"And ultimately, it [Paul vs Tyson] was a professional fight, and that's a shame on the industry, that's not a professional fight, that shouldn't be classified as a professional fight.

"If it was put forward as an exhibition, then I'd still say it was unpalatable, but at least you look at it and go, 'Well it kind of is what it is.'

"The fact you've got 70,000 people that want to go in there and watch this drivel is beyond me.

"Jake Paul fights Tommy Fury, fights people that are declining MMA stars, fights Mike Tyson.

"There's a part of me that'll love someone like Canelo Alvarez to go in there and give him a touch of reality.

"But the bottom line is, all it will be about is money, it's all about money, I admire the kid for his commercial nous for tuning into an opportunity.

"I don't know what he represents, I don't know why he represents so much to so many people, but he does, and fair play to him."

Following Paul's latest victory, he has been offered three world title fights across three separate weight classes.

Having fought Tyson as a heavyweight, the division's IBF champion Daniel Dubois - fresh from knocking out Anthony Joshua at Wembley - called out the American in a private message.

Meanwhile Russia's unbeaten knockout artist Artur Beterbiev has offered Paul a shot at his undisputed light-heavyweight titles.

And recently upgraded WBC bridgerweight champ Kevin Lerena is willing to make the first defence of his strap against Paul.

With legitimate world class boxers now willing to silence Paul, the ex-Disney actor can't seemingly run away from a step up in challenge for much longer.
