Tony Bellew has been quick to mock the prospect of Jake Paul challenging heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois.

Influencer boxer Paul stepped in the ring with 58-year-old heavyweight legend Mike Tyson, who he defeated in routine fashion in a record-breaking Texas event.

Just days after the bout, Paul has been inundated with call-outs from some big names in the boxing world including IBF heavyweight champion Dubois.

'Dynamite' messaged Paul and asked if he would like to be next in line after he defeated Anthony Joshua, which the 'Problem Child' publicly accepted.

But British boxing icon Bellew, who has been outspoken regarding Paul's boxing career, insists there is simply no place for it.

"I know the boy's got a great imagination, but I don't know what planet he's on," he said on talkSPORT Breakfast.

"He's got to be on Mars or somewhere like that to even think about something like that. It couldn't be sanctioned anyway.

"We've seen an old Mike Tyson on Friday night and I was heartbroken to watch it... Dubois is on a whole new level.

"Dubois is one of the best heavyweights in the world. He would knock Jake Paul out with a jab.

"Believe you me, I'm not messing. It would just be an embarrassment."

Dubois has an incredible jab, which helped him dismantle experienced former two-time champion Joshua.

It is no wonder Bellew picked it out as a weapon of choice, and Paul would likely face a near impossible bid to dethrone Dubois.

The Briton is on a brilliant trajectory and a big 2025 is expected for the heavyweight who is yet to pencil in his next outing.

He looked set to first rematch Joshua, but the sequel is now off the table, and he is expected to pick from the IBF rankings in the top 15 for his next outing in February.

Paul has had just 12 professional fights including his win over Tyson, but has not fought a ranked contender at heavyweight.

And Dubois' promoter Frank Warren has revealed that is the exact reason why the fight cannot happen anyway in the current climate.

"Look if he wants to do it he will do it [call out Jake Paul]," Warren told talkSPORT's White & Jordan.

"It won't happen, he is the IBF champion. Jake isn't ranked with the IBF and won't be ranked with the IBF.

"He hasn't fought anybody who is ranked in the top ten so it is never going to happen.

"If he's called him out, and Jake Paul said 'let's have some of that' and he had, then who am I to stop him from doing it?

"I can go back to Muhammad Ali fighting a Japanese wrestler, it is nothing unusual.

"It happens and sometimes people want to see a car crash that is what it is."

Paul has yet to decide what is next, but has always affirmed his ambition of becoming a world champion in the sport.
