‘The world’s fastest KO’ – Conor McGregor left stunned by record-breaking two-second knockout in bare-knuckle boxing
Justin Watson made a unique piece of combat sports history as he KO'd Cole Ferrell in their bare-knuckle boxing match on Friday night.
Astonishingly, the pair's fight lasted just two seconds as Watson recorded what simply has to be the fastest knockout of all time.

The near impossible feat was achieved as part of BKFC 69 in Georgia.
BKFC (Bare-Knuckle Fighting Championship) is the bare-knuckle boxing promotion which boasts UFC star Conor McGregor as a co-owner.
The event was headlined by Keith Richardson vs Michael Larrimore.
But it was a fight deep on the undercard that stole the show and made headlines around the world.

Not many fans tuned into Watson vs Ferrell expecting to witness history.
However, this is exactly what they got as Watson made the brave decision to launch a massive overhand right at his opponent as soon as the bout began.
Referee Bryan Miner stepped back to start the contest, but quickly needed to leap into action once again.
Ferrell instantly collapsed to the canvas and was never going to be able to recover.

Miner did begin a knockdown count, but quickly realised the fight was all over.
Remarkably, he waved the fight off after just two seconds.

In truth, the KO itself only took one second, with the referee taking a second to decide to end the bout.
Even more remarkably, Watson was in fact an underdog heading into the fight.
He'd lost his last two bouts beforehand and so was expected to be defeated by Ferrell also.
Alas, Watson flipped the script in the most dramatic fashion.
BKFC co-owner McGregor took notice of the record-breaking KO.
He reposted the video on his Instagram story with the caption: "The world's fastest KO, WOW."
Of course, McGregor knows a thing or two about historic knockouts, given he recorded the fastest in UFC title history at UFC 194 when he sparked out Jose Aldo in 13 seconds.
Aldo launched himself at McGregor only to be countered instantly and sent to the canvas.

The previous record was held by Uly Diaz.
In 2020, he recorded a three-second KO against Donelei Benedetto.
At the time, this appeared as if it would be unbeatable, but Watson somehow managed it.
He now has his name in the record books, and though three seconds seemed impossible to break, a two-second knockout truly will be.
There simply won't be enough time in any bout for anyone to record a quicker KO than Watson's.
For Watson, this could be a career-defining win.

Given this was his first win as a BKFC participant, you would expect plenty of opportunities should come his way now.
The main thing for Watson is proving that this wasn't just a one-off, and at 37, he still has plenty left to show and make a name for himself.
