Tyson Fury is ‘more important than any title or any big fight’ urges Anthony Crolla

Anthony Crolla has urged the British Boxing Board of Control to give Tyson Fury his boxing licence back ahead of a potential return to the ring.
Fury has not fought since beating Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015 to become heavyweight champion of the world having battled mental health issues and tested positive for a banned substance.
And Crolla echoed Saunders’ sentiments about Fury being allowed back into the sport as a way of battling his personal issues and fulfilling his undoubted potential.
“I’m with you as almost all of British boxing is in that sense,” Crolla told talkSPORT, speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.
“He’s had his mental health issues and he’s said a few things in the past that haven’t been too popular with people.
“But deep down, the big guy is a family man. He follows religion and he’s not the type of guy to be out partying all the time.
“I know he’s had his issues outside the ring. But I just believe that man wants to earn a living and provide for his family.
“It’s a crying shame that someone who was heavyweight champion of the world hasn’t capitalised on what he achieved.
“Forget about fighting Anthony Joshua. Just seeing him back in the ring, doing what he does best, that’s more important than any title or any big fight.”
