Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn LIVE RESULTS: ‘Next Gen’ wins 12-round war in all-time classic bout – updates and reaction

Chris Eubank Jr. BEAT Conor Benn after a 12-round war to settle their family feud in one of British boxing’s all-time classics.
The duo were initially meant to reignite their fathers' rivalry in October 2022, but Benn failed a drug test.
After a two-year battle with the UK Anti-Doping Agency [UKAD], he was eventually cleared, and a bout with Eubank Jr was rearranged.
The hatred between the two goes back to the days of Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank Sr, who fought in two epic battles in 1990 and 1993.
Their sons have now staged one of their own, with Eubank Jr finally getting the result 116-112 on all three scorecards.

Ringwalks
After a surprise airing of ‘God Save the King’, it’s time for those main event ring walks, and it's Conor Benn first up!
Joined by his dad Nigel, 'The Destroyer' comes out to a remix of 'Ready or Not' with a homage to his father on the soundtrack.
The familiar beats of reggae tune 'Dangerous' is blended in with Benn Jr's music as he enters the ring in a black sparkling robe.
Nigel gees up the crowd as his son enters the ring to a mix of both boos and cheers inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
What follows may be slight mind games from the Eubanks as the pair take their time to make their entrance.
Tina Turner’s ‘Simply the Best’ blares out, and once again, he's greeted with a mixed reception.
A brown robe with a British flag on the back is the attire of choice.

"So, technique and that might go out the window, to be honest.

Yarde vs Arthur
Anthony Yarde is currently going the distance with Lyndon Arthur in their third encounter, with their last meeting coming in 2021.
Yarde is looking to claim another shot at winning the light-heavyweight title and will need to win this to increase his chances.
It's proving a tight affair against long-time Brit rival Arthur again, fittingly with the two each holding one win apiece.
The winner of this trilogy fight will claim the bragging rights and take a second victory against their familiar opponent.
Eu beauty
Nigel Benn has given his first reaction to Chris Eubank Sr's shock arrival at tonight's blockbuster fight.
He told Sky Sports: "I'm so glad (he's here). I wanted him here. It's a big family affair."
Has it affected Conor's mindset? "Not at all. It's not based on Chris."
Big family affair? "100 per cent, 100 per cent.
"Hopefully, I can go over there and shake his hand. I don't know what Chris is going to turn up tonight."

Chris Eubank Jr is a big favourite with the bookies, but several experts believe Conor Benn can upset the applecart.
But at talkSPORT, what really matters is what the fans think.
Billy Joe denied access to Eubank Jr dressing room
Another of Chris Eubank Jr’s arch-rivals, Billy Joe Saunders, has not reacted well to being denied access to his dressing room.
Saunders, who famously fought and beat Eubank Jr by split decision in 2014, was sent in to inspect the wrapping of the gloves.
But upon arrival, he was prevented by security from entering his former foe’s dressing room.
Things turned to chaos as he desperately tried to breach the security and go in to watch the hands be wrapped.
Saunders furiously began shouting at security and members of Eubank Jr’s team who prevented him from entering.
The pair have been heavily linked with a lucrative rematch in recent years, and it was clear tensions were as big as ever.

Liam Smith beaten again!
Liam Smith was dropped and beaten by Aaron McKenna in his return to the ring.
Smith came into the event on the back of a year-long hiatus after his KO defeat to Chris Eubank Jr, who headlines tonight's bill.
He entered the ring beaming with confidence that he could beat the talented McKenna, to the sound of fellow Liverpudlian Jamie Webster’s ‘This Place’.
The 36-year-old took on McKenna, whom had been training and sparring pound-for-pound superstar Terence Crawford in the build-up to the clash.
And it clearly paid off as the Irishman scored a brilliant points win, with the scorecards reading 119-108, 117-109, and 118-108 in his favour.
Smith left the ring badly beaten and many inside the boxing fraternity believe that was his last outing.
talkSPORT boxing expert Spencer Oliver said: “It’s clearly the end of the road, we’ve seen it historically happen in boxing.
“And the former champion, it’s time to pass over the baton.”

Chris Eubank Sr had distanced himself from the grudge match that will see his son and Conor Benn square off tonight.
However, Eubank Jr has been joined by his father upon his arrival at the stadium, with the pair receiving a thunderous ovation!
While Nigel Benn has been actively involved in Conor's camp, Eubank Sr hasn't been present at a single pre-fight event.
Eubank Sr has now completed a remarkable u-turn by rocking up to the Tottenham stadium by his son's side.
And now fans will be able to enjoy a reunion between the British boxing legend and Benn Sr after their epic battles in 1990 and 1993.

It wasn't long ago that Liam Smith came up against Chris Eubank Jr himself.
Now he might be providing him with a solution to canvas-gate during his undercard clash against Aaron McKenna.
Gareth A Davies told talkSPORT: "Liam 'Beefy Smith' has got an undersole on his boot, so no slippage from Liam Smith.
"It could come down to whose wearing the right boots tonight, Steve Collins!"

Conor Benn had his request for an 18ft ring tonight for his fight with Chris Eubank Jr approved.
However, it's causing all sorts of problems in the opening two bouts of the night, with the canvas slippery.
Gareth A Davies told talkSPORT: "This canvas is printed, not painted, so as a result, there is less friction on it.
"And the only way that boxers can get around this, and if anyone's listening in the dressing room, is to sandpaper the bottom of your boots, because normally painted canvases are the case, but in this instance, it was printed, so there's less friction.
"There are two canvases in the event that there's too much blood or too much water, or it rains, there is a canvas underneath, but it will not make any difference whatsoever."
A fuming Adam Catterall interjected: "They need to change it. They need to change it, and they need to rip that off, and they need to get rid of all the sponsorship, because this is going to affect the fight."
Spencer Oliver added: "Yeah, and I say the big problem boys, I don't think any of them, fighters in them dressing rooms are going to have any sandpaper. What do you reckon?"

talkSPORT pundits slam the slippery canvas ahead of Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor BennViddal Riley bts Cheavon Clarke
Clarke's Arsenal taunts have majorly backfired, as Spurs rival Riley fittingly has his hand raised inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Gooner Clarke walked out to Arsenal’s anthem ‘North London Forever’, while donning the red and white of his childhood club.
His gesture might not have gone down well with the local fans, but talkSPORT’s Adam Catterall appreciated the gamesmanship.
“I thought I’d let that play out,” said Catterall on the commentary desk. “The football fans among you will know exactly what he has done.
“He’s an Arsenal fan; he’s on away territory tonight fighting inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, so he was playing the Arsenal anthem of ‘North London Forever’.
“If you are an Arsenal fan, you will be fully aware of it as it rings out pre-Arsenal game every time they are playing at home.”
Riley, wearing the lily white and blue of Tottenham, was given a much warmer reception as he stuck and moved his way to victory.
In the end, the scorecards read 116-112, 117-111, 115-113 in his favour as he got his hand raised and had the Lonsdale belt put around his waist to a rapturous cheer.
But more was to follow as Glory, Glory, Tottenham Hotspur started blaring out to truly signal Riley's revenge!

If any fan was wondering how the main event fighters would be received, then we now have our answer!
Conor Benn was just shown on the big screen arriving at the stadium and was loudly booed by punters!
'The Destroyer' is usually the fan-favourite - how will he deal with the negative reaction tonight?
Fine by him
Chris Eubank Jr isn't concerned about losing $500,000 (£375,000) on the scales.
"It is what it is," he told DAZN. "If they are going to take half a million off me for being 0.5 [ounces] off of the limit, then it is what it is.
"That is the people that Eddie Hearn, Matchroom and Conor Benn are.
"At the end of the day, weight has no relevance to what happens [tonight].
"I'm going to go out there a stop this guy…
"The rehydration clause is still in play, so I have to watch what I eat and what I drink, but again, all these things are set up to distract, to get me off track. None of it will work…
"He's in for a hell of a surprise, he thinks he is going to go out there and hop, skip and [land] a right hand as he says.
"But he has no idea the pain that is in store for him."
No weigh home
talkSPORT's Spencer Oliver thinks Eubank Jr was a bit unlucky to miss weight.
He said: "There were rumours circulating yesterday that he was struggling with the weight.
“He has missed the weight by the tiniest of margins. He came in at 160.005, half an ounce, that is what we are talking about.
“Very unfortunate for Eubank Jr, and how will that affect him on fight night. One thing it does tell us is that he’s struggling to make weight.
“Or was it a miscalculation? It was the tiniest of margins."
Cheavon Clarke vs Viddal Riley
It’s Arsenal vs Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Gunners fan Cheavon Clarke defends his British cruiserweight title.
And somehow he's been allowed to get his club's 'north London forever' anthem belted out at the home of his rival.
Let's see how Spurs supporter Viddal Riley can respond in the ring...
He's dressed in a white and blue robe in Tottenham colours, with Clarke coming out to boos for his Arsenal ties.

Fittingly for a card headlined by a Eubank, it's an absolute 'stupendous' opening fight of the night.
Chris Billam-Smith returned to the ring for the first time since losing his WBO cruiserweight world title with a tough comeback fight.
But the 34-year-old has beaten Brandon Glanton by unanimous decision, 116-113, 116-112, 116-112.
A crucial win for ‘The Gentleman’, and neither man seems unhappy with the scoring of that fight.
'CBS' will be knocking at the door of another world title fight, having lost the WBO belt to Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez in Riyadh in November.

Credit: Getty Eubank Jr vs Benn: What has been said?
Eubank Sr has emphatically ruled out his attendance at his son's upcoming clash with Benn.
The pair haven't been on talking terms for a considerable stretch and only recently spoke to each other for the first time in two years at Harlem Eubank's fight with Tyrone McKenna in Brighton last month.
"I will not be an accomplice to their stupidity, their circus," Eubank Sr said during an interview with Seconds Out.
"It's against the rules what is happening, 147lbs fighting 160lbs is against the rules," Eubank Sr continued.
"When Kell Brook was made to fight GGG [Gennady Golovkin] it's against the rules.
"That boy [Brook] had his eye socket smashed. For promoters, it is just a game, but to the warriors, it is a way of life.
"We have to call them what they are, they are trash, they are trashing us. We are not trash, we are the standard bearers...
"If you are not clever and you are not noble, this [boxing] will kill you, this vocation, what they call sport.
"If you don't play it right already, Conor, you don't have a career to enjoy."
Weigh to go
Chris Eubank Jr made weight at the second weigh-in for his blockbuster fight with Conor Benn after a lengthy delay this morning.
The Brighton boxer's team claimed he was still asleep hours after both fighters were expected to tip the scales around 8am this morning.
It came after Eubank Jr missed Friday's 160lb limit by less than an ounce, landing him a $500,000 fine.
As per the rehydration clause in their fight contract, both men were allowed to gain 10lbs before Saturday's second weight check.
Benn, who is climbing two divisions to meet Eubank at middleweight, arrived around 8am and weighed in at 165lbs, gaining 8.6lbs from his Friday weight of 156.4lbs.
His 35-year-old rival then weighed in at 169.4lbs shortly before 10am, in line with the rehydration agreement.

Hello and welcome!
Tensions will be at boiling point in London as Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn finally square-off tonight at Tottenham's stadium.
The former made headlines during their first face-off by slapping his foe with an egg, which sparked a brawl on stage.
The hatred between the two goes back to the days of Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank Sr, who fought in two epic battles in 1990 and 1993.
In the time Conor Benn has been banned, Eubank Jr has fought Liam Smith twice and Kamil Szeremeta.
'The Destroyer', meanwhile, hasn't fought since February last year when he outpointed Peter Dobson.
But even just days out from the fight, there have been issues with Eubank Jr failing to make the catchweight of 160lbs.
'Next Gen' came in at 160.05lbs, so he's only just missed it, but he has been hit with a £375,000 fine on top of the £100,000 fine he got for slapping Benn with the egg.
He did, however, make weight on fight day, tipping the scales at 169.4lbs after both men agreed on a 170lb rehydration clause.
