Jake Paul breaks silence on Gervonta Davis fight collapse and reveals new plan: ‘Run it back’
Jake Paul has revealed a fight with Gervonta Davis was fully scheduled before his controversial draw with Lamont Roach.
Davis and Paul had entered negotiations behind-closed-doors over a huge boxing mega-fight, which was slated to take place this year.

All 'Tank' had to do was first get past huge underdog Roach in their clash last month, where he was expected to call out Paul after the final bell.
But the showdown ended in a hugely controversial draw, with Roach left furious he didn't win the contest.
So an immediate sequel has now been ordered, and the pair will do battle again this summer.
As a result, Paul's bout with Davis was derailed, but he is now confident he can get a deal back on track later in the year.

"It was highly talked about and in negotiations and almost ready to happen," he told media at the press conference of Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano 3.
"But he now has to do his rematch with Lamont Roach and get the win, then we can run it back.
"But we were scheduled to fight for sure. We have an announcement next week.
"I'm not going to leak anything, we've had these fights pulled twice now at the one-yard line.

"First Canelo Alvarez, and now Gervonta. I'm just not going to say anything in case it doesn't happen."
It has been a torrid year of collapsed deals for Paul, who is clearly on a mission to fight boxing's elite.

After a hugely successful commercial event last year when beating legend Mike Tyson, the sky is the limit for 'El Gallo'.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer first signed a deal to face pound-for-pound superstar Alvarez, but it fell through as the Mexican chose two fights including Terence Crawford.
His deal with Davis then collapsed, but it isn't his only avenue having discussed a huge deal to face Anthony Joshua in 2026.
Despite 'Tank' being forced away from the showdown, Paul's business partner Nakisa Bidarian believes it will still happen.
He said: "The reality is we spent a lot of time with Al Haymon and PBC trying to make the Canelo fight happen and we want to be supportive of what they're doing across the board.
"Gervonta Davis, other than Jake Paul, is the only American pay-per-view box office star.

"And, Gervonta has called Jake a clown multiple times and said he could beat him with one hand tied behind his back.
"So, not like the guys are massive fans of each other, but they also have respect and understand that the two of them are the standalone kind of massive fighters from the US."
