On February 17, George Groves and Chris Eubank Jr will meet in the semi-finals of the World Boxing Super Series super-middleweight tournament.

“George Groves is the favourite in my mind. I’m not convinced he can beat Chris Eubank Jr. I see George completely out-boxing Chris Eubank for 7/8 rounds, but then kind of clinging on at the end, with Eubank coming on strong, and winning a points decision. But I also see Eubank busting him up at times in my head! I think Groves [will win] on points.”

And his prediction on the rest of the tournament:

“Callum Smith will win [the other semi-final]. George Groves will beat Callum Smith through experience.”

John Rawling - Chris Eubank Jr (PTS)

“I’m going with Chris Eubank. I think that his fitness, his youth relatively in boxing terms (he’s not had the same damaging contests)… He will be fresher, possibly sharper and despite the boxing ability of George Groves I think that the further the fight goes, the more it’s Eubank’s fight. I think Eubank wins this one on points.”

And his prediction on the rest of the tournament:

“When we get to the final, I think Eubank wins that as well.”

Glenn McCrory - George Groves (PTS)

“Groves. Points I think. Chris Eubank Jr’s shown nothing around his chin that makes you think he’s not like his Dad - teak tough to the core. So I think George Groves on the jab, too big, just pushing him around and just not letting him get into his fight and not letting him get close enough to land the punches that he does.”

And his prediction on the rest of the tournament:

“I want to see how Callum handles Braehmer. If he wins this fight well against Braehmer than he’s got to be in with a very good shout of winning it.”

Adam Catterall - Chris Eubank Jr

“I think that George’ll get dragged into a fight that he doesn’t want to fight and I’m with John [picking Eubank] on this.”

And his prediction on the rest of the tournament:

“I’m really looking forward to seeing Callum abroad in Nuremberg fighting against Braehmer in his home country. I think Callum will come through that and then I personally think that Callum will win this.”
