Floyd Mayweather reveals he’s started MMA training, states target date and sends warning to Conor McGregor

Floyd Mayweather has sensationally revealed that he is now training for a potential MMA bout at the end of 2018.
Rumours have been rife of a reverse crossover fight with Conor McGregor since ‘Money May’ stepped into the Octagon as part of a PaddyPower campaign in February.
Now the former pound-for-pound boxing king has spoken out.
“I started training already. Not the physical part - endurance,” Mayweather said in an interview with .
“I’m thinking about fighting MMA. I look forward to fighting, probably for the end of the year. Right now it’s a 50/50, not really 100 per cent, but I’ve started training.”
The 41-year-old also addressed rumours he would be employing reigning UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley as part of his training team.
“Me and Woodley spoke to each other on numerous occasions. I’m going to be working with different guys in the jiu-jitsu world. My wrestling game, I’m going to be working with guys with the wrestling. My kicking game, I’m going to be working with guys with the kicking game. Before I get in the octagon, I’ve got to be well-rounded all around the board.”
“The weight class I would fight at is 145. In MMA it would be totally different. You think I’m fast with 8oz gloves on? Imagine how fast I’d be with 4oz gloves on.”
When probed about potential opponents for his Octagon debut, Mayweather issued a stark warning to his Irish former-foe McGregor.
“I know right now I’m the biggest name in MMA. Hands down, I know this. And the second biggest name is Conor McGregor.”
“Just like he feels he got dynamite hands with the 4oz gloves on, I feel like I got dynamite power with the 4oz gloves on.”
