Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Floyd Mayweather: UFC star wants two-fight deal, one boxing match and one MMA bout
The UFC lightweight champion wants a special arrangement to face off with the former pound-for-pound star

Khabib Nurmagomedov has declared he would like to agree a two-fight deal with Floyd Mayweather, consisting of one boxing match and one MMA bout.
The 30-year-old Russian cemented his place as one of the biggest names in his sport with victory over Conor McGregor last month, though is now eyeing a crossover fight, similar to the Irishman’s effort in 2017.
McGregor was stopped in the tenth when he boxed Mayweather, however Nurmagomedov believes he can make a better attempt, and also lure the elusive pound-for-pound great into the cage.
"If we make a bilateral agreement with Floyd Mayweather, the fans will be pleased," he told beIN Sports.
"The first match in the ring and the second in the cage, then this would be real. I want to test myself in boxing once, that's fair."
Mayweather has teased a potential MMA rematch with McGregor in the past, however, after Nurmagomedov tapped him out, the American switched his focus.
He has since talked up a bout with the Russian, but it seems unlikely he would agree to ever step into the world of the UFC, something the organisation's president, Dana White, wants to see happen.
