Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury: Brit’s drugs tests come back clean ahead of world title fight
The WBC announced that the 30-year-old has passed with flying colours after signing up for their VADA programme

Tyson Fury has successfully passed his first set of VADA drugs tests in preparation for his upcoming fight with Deontay Wilder on December 1.
As part of his agreement to fight for the WBC world title, Fury enrolled in the organisation’s ‘Clean Boxing Programme’ in partnership with the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association and has tested negative for all banned substances so far.
The WBC announced the results on Saturday, declaring that they were “proud” of the 30-year-old for his compliance.
Fury previously registered elevated levels of Nandrolone in a UKAD test in 2015, failed a test for Cocaine in 2016 and refused another test.
This prompted a lengthy, costly investigation which concluded with a compromise that saw the former heavyweight world champion accept a backdated ban, but by no means admit any guilt.
He was declared free to fight again and returned to the ring with tune-ups against Sefer Seferi and Francesco Pianeta before accepting his upcoming bout with Wilder.
