Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury: Brit weighs in three stone heavier than American rival as pair are kept apart for face-off
The challenger will hold a serious weight advantage over the champion
Tyson Fury weighed in more than three stone heavier than rival Deontay Wilder ahead of their WBC heavyweight title fight in LA on Saturday night.
The Gypsy King hit the scales at 18st 4lbs 8oz (256.5lbs) and was shortly followed by the Bronze Bomber who registered 15st 2lbs 8oz (212.5lbs).
The pair were kept apart for the final face-off following the scuffle that broke out at their presser on Wednesday.
Britain's Fury kept to his word after saying his weight gain was pretty much complete when he came in at 258lbs for his second comeback fight against Francesco Pianeta in August, and has only dropped 1.5lbs since.
Before that he weighed 276lbs against Sefer Seferi, although that bout took place while he was still in the process of fixing his physical condition after ballooning up to over 350lbs during his time away from the ring.
Meanwhile, Wilder scaled his lowest weight since his pro debut in November 2008.
Prior to the actual weigh-in, Tyson Fury arrived in typically unique fashion - standing out through the roof of his car.
This 6′ 9″ giant made himself even bigger than usual as he once again proved that he’s one of a kind.
He appeared more than relaxed as he danced on stage during proceedings and lapped up the reception of the crowd.
Fury fans made themselves heard by singing 'there's only one Tyson Fury,' when their man made his way to the stage and then chanting 'dosser' repeatedly as Deontay Wilder took to the scale.
