Rocky Fielding faces a formidable challenge when he steps into the ring at Madison Square Garden in the early hours of Sunday morning to fight Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.
The Briton will put his minor version of the WBA world super-middleweight title on the line against Mexican superstar Canelo, who is stepping up in weight class after his battles for middleweight supremacy with Gennady Golovkin.
Technically gifted and a pound-for-pound great, Alvarez is the heavy favourite against Fielding, despite giving away a huge height advantage.
Fielding came in at 167.6lbs, with Canelo slightly lighter at 167.4lbs.
The Liverpudlian won the belt in Germany in the summer against Tyron Zuege and has travelled outside of the UK once again for the New York showdown with Canelo.
When will Canelo vs Rocky Fielding start?
The fight is set for Saturday, December 15 in New York.
British fans should be prepared to brew some fresh coffee, with the main event expected to start in the early hours of Sunday morning, at around 3am.
Fielding has a record of 27-1 but this is a huge step up in class, with this his first outing since winning the WBA crown in June against Zeuge.
