Tyson Fury shows off lightning fast hand speed in first footage since returning to training for Deontay Wilder rematch

The ‘Gypsy King’ is determined to stay in shape in between fights

Tyson Fury returned to training immediately after Christmas as he intends to maintain his fitness ahead of a potential rematch with Deontay Wilder this year.

The 30-year-old former heavyweight king was seen firing off speedy shots on the pads with trainer Ben Davison in the first footage released since his December 1 draw with the WBC champion.

Promoter Frank Warren confirmed negotiations are ongoing for the second bout, which has been much demanded after many felt Fury was on the wrong end of a rough decision in the first.

The 'Gypsy King' endured well-documented mental struggles following the first big fight of his career against Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.

He ended up spending two and a half years out of the ring as a result and blew up to over 300lbs, something he insists will not happen again.

In his first interview of 2019, the Fury told : “I’m just maintaining my fitness really. I’m [as] fit now as I was [against Wilder], same kind of thing.”

He then issued a direct message to his opponent.

“I’m ready to fight. Wilder, let’s get the fight made, don’t s*** yourself now mate!”
