Callum Smith tricked by ‘orgasm noise’ video during boxing press conference

Callum Smith seemingly fell victim to a classic online joke during a boxing press conference on Wednesday.

The 28-year-old world champion was sat at the back of the room while his older brother Liam Smith previewed his upcoming bout against Sam Eggington, but ended up taking centre stage himself.

As the speeches from undercard fighters progressed, the younger Smith was keeping himself busy by sifting through social media on his phone.

He then opted to play a video, but was duped as the clip instead blared out a female ‘orgasm noise’ track, loud enough for the entire room to hear.

The top table erupted into laughter as promoter Eddie Hearn jokingly attempted to identify the culprit before being informed that it was his own WBA super-middleweight champion, Callum Smith.

Smith shook his head to deny culpability, but a round of applause followed for him before the press conference resumed.

As for the show itself, Liam Smith headlines against Eggington with Joe Hughes vs Robbie Davies Jr, Anthony Fowler vs Scott Fitzgerald and David Price on the bill for 30 March.
