Vasyl Lomachenko had just one defeat on amazing 396-1 amateur record that came when he lost to Albert Selimov at the 2007 World Championship

Vasyl Lomachenko is one of the greatest amateur boxers of all time, losing just once in close to 400 fights.
The double Olympic gold medallist is among the most decorated fighters in the history of the sport and has since gone on to become a three-weight world champion as a professional.
From his teenage years all the way up to the age of 25, Loma had no mercy in the amateur ranks and built up a remarkable record consisting of 396 wins from 397 bouts.
His sole defeat came against Russia’s Albert Selimov at the 2007 World Championship.
Lomachenko was just 19 and attending his first major competition at the time.
He maintained his undefeated record to make the final, however, he only left with the silver medal.
Selimov beat him 16:11 on points and the young Ukrainian was visibly distraught as the result was announced.
After this day, Lomachenko never lost another amateur bout and even got revenge on Selimov by beating him twice in their two future contests.
