Between March 2014 and September 2015, Shannon Briggs’ hilarious pursuit of Wladimir Klitschko became one of the most talked about topics in the boxing world.
The former two-time heavyweight champion chased the reigning champ across the globe, demanding an opportunity to regain the crown.

Sadly, Briggs’ campaign ended unsuccessfully when Tyson Fury dethroned Klitschko, however it didn’t come without creating a few memorable moments along the way.
In October 2010, Briggs challenged Wladimir’s brother – Vitali Klitschko – for his WBC heavyweight title and lost by lopsided decision.
He then took four years away from the sport, but decided to return and set his sights straight at the top.
The American stormed his rival’s gym and threw a shoe at him declaring, ‘Shannon Briggs is back,’ in a move which started this series of events.

For the next year and a half, Briggs crashed multiple Klitschko press conferences, weigh-ins and media days to create a storm and call for the fight.
He even randomly found the Ukrainian in a restaurant one afternoon and began a confrontation before later tracking him down on a paddle board and using a speed boat to knock him into the water.
Their final encounter came at a gym in which they were separated by a crowd including legendary champion Evander Holyfield.
