Ricky Hatton declares Tyson Fury is world’s best heavyweight

Hatton told marvelbet369.com: “He’s improved since the Wilder fight, he’s getting better and better.

“I think he deserves to be recognised as the best heavyweight.

“He might not have the belts, but I think anyone or any governing body would sit there and say he’s the man at the minute.”

Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin alternative opponents reported

The middleweight greats, who did battle in 2017 and 2018, were initially expected to meet again in 2019, however events have now taken an unexpected turn.

It’s claimed by The Athletic that Sergey Kovalev is ‘frontrunner’ to face Canelo in what would be a big jump for the man who has only once competed at the super-middleweight limit.

The same outlet also claims Golovkin is now considering other opponents, with Jaime Munguia one possibility.

Co-promoter Bob Arum says the Russian’s fight against Anthony Yarde is set for August 24, however he claims that if a deal is agreed with Canelo, then they will pay the Brit to step aside and face Gilberto Ramirez instead.

Carl Frampton’s next fight announced

Carl Frampton will return to the ring against Emmanuel Dominguez on August 10 at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia.

The Northern Irishman inked a co-promotional deal with Bob Arum’s Top Rank/ESPN, alongside original promoter Frank Warren, earlier this year and so will likely fight the remainder of his career Stateside.

After this, Frampton is being lined up for what could be his final crack at becoming world champion again with WBO featherweight king Oscar Valdez waiting to take him on.

David Haye suggests Anthony Joshua should reconsider Andy Ruiz Jr rematch if he’s still confused by the defeat

Haye told talkSPORT: “If AJ wanted to take a couple of fights before Andy Ruiz, I don’t think that’d be the worst thing to do.

“But if he believes in his heart he has what it takes to win in the rematch straight away, then I believe he goes for it, he should just do it.

“If he’s got question marks still, if he doesn’t know what happened, if he felt good going into that fight and he just lost like he lost, then there needs to be some adjustments made.”

Ricky Hatton insists Anthony Joshua beats Andy Ruiz Jr nine times out of ten

When asked if AJ should take the second fight, Hatton told marvelbet369.com: “If you have to ask me as an outsider, I‘d say he beats Ruiz nine times out of ten, for me.

“I think it’s a decision for the people that know Anthony best.

“If Nathan Gorman were to get beat by somebody and people were saying, ‘Oh, he’s gotta do this,’ I would tell them to mind their own business because they don’t know the man.

“But I would like to still see him back in there in future because it was still a shock defeat.

“I think he’s a better fighter than Ruiz, so I would get straight back in.”
