Dave Allen relaxes with KFC after getting all-clear from hospital following David Price defeat

Dave Allen relaxed with a box of Kentucky Fried Chicken after his brutal heavyweight defeat to David Price on Saturday night.
The fan favourite fighter lost by corner stoppage when his trainer Darren Barker called the contest off after 30 minutes of pure domination in the chief supporting contest prior to Dillian Whyte vs Oscar Rivas.
Allen was initially stretchered out of the ring and taken to hospital, with supporters fearing for him until Barker tweeted to confirm he was okay.
The 27-year-old then posted his own message in which he strongly hinted at retirement: “Don’t want anyone to worry about me, just a hard man gone old and soft the last 18 months.
“Very happy and proud of David Price. I will be okay, but the last 12 months or so my health has been deteriorating.
“I’m glad I hung on took the chance and made money and now probably done.”
And, on Sunday, the Doncaster-born bruiser posted a picture on Instagram of himself embracing a KFC with a battered face.
He wrote on his Instagram: "Everything’s okay, now gonna go have a few quite days [to] let my face and pride heal and I'll be back. Thanks for all nice messages."
In the fight itself, which was Allen's fifth defeat in the ring, Price began by setting the pace and he started as he meant to go on.
