Frank Warren and Billy Joe Saunders agree to ‘amicable parting’ after 11-year relationship

Frank Warren and Billy Joe Saunders have mutually agreed to part ways.
Saunders, the WBO super-middleweight champion, has been with Warren for over a decade and was one of the top stars for Queensbury Promotions.
At 29-years-old, Saunders is looking to secure huge fights with the likes of Saul Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin and the big money that comes with it.
However, Queensbury have noted this is an 'amicable parting' between two friends and judging by their comments, they will remain close.
Warren said “I’ve really enjoyed working with Billy Joe through his whole professional career and guiding him to become British, Commonwealth, European and a two Weight World Champion.
"I’m personally very fond of Billy Joe and I wish him every success in the remainder of his career.”
Warren is handling some of the best, young and exciting fighters in the world right now and the likes of Daniel Dubois and Anthony Yarde are primed to fill Saunders' void.
However, the unbeaten Saunders is certainly a loss whichever way you look at it and he appreciates what Warren helped him become.
Saunders said, “First of all, I just want to say a massive thank you to Frank for everything he has done for my career over the past decade.
"Frank signed me after the 2008 Olympics and was with me every step of the way as I won the British, Commonwealth and European titles before becoming a world champion in two divisions.
"It feels a little bittersweet and I’ll always be appreciative for everything Frank has done for me. We’ll stay close.”
