Boxing news: KSI blasts ‘dirty c***’ Logan Paul after American launches official appeal over fight result
KSI branded Logan Paul a ‘dirty c***’ in a bitter social media tirade after his rival announced he will be officially appealing the result of their fight.
The YouTubers fought a dramatic and controversial six-rounder on November 9, with the Brit emerging victorious by split decision.
However, the razor thin margin of his triumph would not have stood without referee Jack Reiss’ decision to deduct two points from the American for hitting KSI late after knocking him down in the fourth.
It is also worth noting that in the previous round, the Brit appeared unfortunate not to score a knockdown of his own, as Reiss gave a slip after Logan was put on the canvas.
Paul initially said: "My team and I have decided to file an official appeal for the fight, because we just don't believe the outcome was right.
"I truthfully 100 per cent believe I did not lose this fight.
"My stomach just started turning over the fact I didn't believe the outcome was correct on this, and if I just stood by and didn't do anything about it, or at least try, then I'd be way disappointed with myself.
"This is a plea to the California State Athletic Commission, I would just hope that you give this the weight that it deserves.
"Because I fear that we aren't real professional fighters, it may be overlooked, but I know this means a lot to me, my team, my friends and most importantly my fans.
"Even if the outcome doesn't come back in my favour, please treat it as a normal boxing appeal."
KSI replied with a series of Instagram stories: “He doesn’t mention my knockdown not counting though.
“Certain man can’t take defeat, what happened to ‘first round decapitation’?
“Either way, Logan’s knockdown should have never been a knockdown in the first place.
“Man had to fight dirty to drop me and then even when I was on the ground, he hit me in the back of the head. Dirty c***.”
Meanwhile, Tommy Fury has eyed up a fight against KSI next summer.
“He did say he wants to fight [again] after the fight [against Logan Paul]," the Love Island star said.
"I am a young man myself and everyone saying, ‘oh, a professional boxer calling out a YouTuber’. But isn’t he signed with Eddie Hearn? Didn’t he just fight on DAZN?
“Has he got a professional licence? Yes. Did he fight without a headguard? Yes. Did he fight the same as a professional? Yes.
“Have I had a million fights? No. Have I got any titles? No. Have I had a lot of fights? No. It is quite an even playing field so why not get it on?”
