Boxing news: Tyson Fury’s eye is healed, Canelo won’t be made to wait by DAZN again, Badou Jack slams Anthony Joshua critics

marvelbet369.com rounds up the best of today’s boxing news…
Canelo unimpressed with DAZN
It's safe to say Canelo Alvarez wasn’t a happy man when he was made to wait by DAZN for a prolonged period of time before he could fight Sergey Kovalev.
The Mexican bruiser agreed an eleven-fight deal with the streaming service last year and has so far had three bouts carried by their company.
However, before beating Kovalev, the MGM Grand was showing its audience the main event at UFC 244 in New York, meaning the boxers had to wait - gloved up - in their locker rooms while UFC. It won't happen to him again apparently.
“I will not allow them to do that, at least for my fights. I will talk to [DAZN],” Canelo told ESPN Deportes.
The broadcaster made the decision to delay Canelo’s main event vs. Kovalev so that it wouldn’t go head-to-head with Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal.
Thanks to a quick undercard, including a first-round KO in the co-main event, there was a well over an hour’s wait for fans inside the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Jack hits out at 'fake' people slamming AJ
Swedish boxer Badou Jack has branded Anthony Joshua's critics as 'fake' ahead of his return fight against Andy Ruiz Jr on Saturday evening.
The former the WBC super middleweight and WBA light heavyweight champion has admitted he doesn't understand the hate Joshua gets.
He wrote: "I don’t get why @anthonyfjoshua get so much hate!? He lost one fight so what. Most great champions lost and came back. He’s an Olympic gold medalist, heavyweight world champion within 16 fights. Now just because he lost 1 fight apparently he’s some kind of scumbag and a bum Smh."
Joshua has the chance to avenge this humiliating defeat to Ruiz when the pair meet in Saudi Arabia this weekend.
Arum claims Fury's eye is completely healed
Boxing promoter Bob Arum said that there are no concerns over an injury sustained in his fight with Otto Wallin September.
Fury defeated Wallin in a unanimous decision in Las Vegas, but sustained a bad cut over his right eye which many thought could lead to his rematch with Deontay Wilder to be postponed.
"I saw him when he was getting ready for the WWE show and everything had been healed. He had great care with a plastic surgeon here and then when he went back to the UK, the leading plastic surgeon in the UK took care of him and you don't see anything now. It is completely healed," said Arum.
Parker's trainer gives his Joshua-Ruiz verdict
Joseph Parker’s trainer Kevin Barry believes Anthony Joshua will emerge victorious from his rematch with Ruiz Jr.
An Olympic silver medalist in 1984, Barry knows both fighters’ qualities well, having led Parker to victory over Ruiz and then watched as the New Zealander took Joshua the distance before losing on points in 2018.
“Ruiz has the belts and everyone says once you become champion you’re 10 per cent better and I think that is a fair statement,” says Barry.
“But I think Joshua will fight a totally different fight. When he had Ruiz down, all he had to do was take his time but he ran in with the wrong punches and put himself there to be hurt.
“This time we will see more poise. If he uses his skills and controls the pressure, I think Joshua wins the fight.”
