Fury can beat Haye if he boxes clever, claims Bruno

Frank Bruno believes Tyson Fury can beat David Haye - if he makes the most of his physical advantages and boxes clever

Frank Bruno believes Tyson Fury can beat David Haye - if he makes the most of his physical advantages and boxes clever.

The two heavyweights will clash in an eagerly awaited domestic dust-up in Manchester at the end of the month, and it promises to be an explosive occasion between two men who have made no secret of their animosity towards one another.

Former world champion Haye will start as favourite but Bruno, who himself held the world heavyweight title in 1995 after beating Oliver McCall, insists Fury is capable of causing an upset.

He told talkSPORT: “David Haye is a very, very good fighter, and a very dangerous fighter. But Fury is a very big lad. If he boxes clever, uses his height, uses his reach, keeps calm and uses his jab like the Klitschkos do, then he could win.

“But you can never bet against David Haye. He’s very explosive and exciting and he’s a good fighter.”
