Evander Holyfield has revealed heavyweight boxing legend Wladimir Klitschko is helping him train for his comeback and potential trilogy fight with Mike Tyson.

The 57-year-old fighter has shown off his incredible shape, speed and fitness in a latest workout clip, which also features former world champion Klitschko.

Holyfield hung up his gloves back in 2011, but is now eyeing a sensational comeback later this year against old rival Tyson, more than 20 years after their last meeting.

Tyson, 53, is also back in shape and gearing up for a return to the ring.

In 1996 and 1997, Holyfield beat Tyson twice, with the second fight ending in disqualification after ‘Iron Mike’ bit his opponent’s ear.

The third bout is likely to be an exhibition match, with both fighters publicly saying they could raise money for charity.

But, their workout clips suggests it will be anything but a tame affair, especially with Klitschko in Holyfield's camp.

In his latest video posted on social media late on Friday, titled 'Team Holyfield preparing for battle', the American is seen shadow boxing in the ring, working the pads with his trainer, hurling huge chains and lifting weights.

The clip ends with his trainer, former world light heavyweight champion Antonio Tarver, saying: “The real deal is back, baby”

Iron Mike has also posted several training clips on social media, showing he still has some ferocious speed and power.

But opinion appears to be split over whether the veteran duo should get back in a ring against at their age.

Promoter Frank Warren, who put on a couple of UK fights with Tyson in the early 2000s, branded the potential Holyfield bout a ‘freak show’ and is dead against the idea of a professional fight.

“I don’t wanna see a 53-year-old guy fighting a 57-year-old guy,” Warren told talkSPORT.

“They’re well, well, well past any sell-by date as far as fighting’s concerned.

“If it’s something that’s gonna be an exhibition, that’s a different thing. It isn’t a proper fight. If they’re gonna do that, then let them get on with it.

“But forget about any competitive fights, that would be terrible.

“I don’t agree with that and I don’t see for the life of me any organisation that’s got any integrity – and we know that lacks sometimes in boxing – backing it.

“If they did and allowed it, then they should be ashamed of themselves.”

However, Anthony Joshua says it’s a fight he and all boxing fans will want to see, and would ‘love it’ if boxing hero Tyson make a return.

Joshua told GQ: “This is what we breathe, this is what we are, and especially someone like ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson, that’s all that man knows.

“So for everyone else it’s a comeback, but for him it’s just what he does. He’s a fighter, right?

“If he’s back in the ring, I would love to see it, I would definitely be one of the viewers, that’s for sure.”
