Jermell Charlo offers to give Oscar De La Hoya world title shot as 47-year-old legend continues to tease comeback

Oscar De La Hoya has seemingly been offered a world title shot by Jermell Charlo.
The legendary former six-weight champion is now 47 years of age and used to promote Charlo within Golden Boy promotions.
He has recently teased a potential comeback, despite having not fought since 2008.
De La Hoya posted on Saturday: "I can do some damage in the 154lbs weight class. #TheComeBack #Training #GoldenBoy"
WBC super-welterweight champion Charlo replied: "Oscar De La Hoya, I won't scare you or try to make you stop.
"Come on, you ain't been touched by this era. You said 154lbs because you know I'm king, let's go."
De La Hoya initially announced his intention to return by telling : “I want to see what Tyson does first. I have been working out, I have been training, I have been staying in shape.
“Obviously, I’m not in fighting shape, yet, to go 12 rounds, but I’m sure I can get there. We’ll see.
“I want to see Tyson perform. See how his reflexes are, see if he can go past three, four rounds, then I’ll make my decision."
Regarding who his opponent would be, De La Hoya replied: “I would really, really come back. I’m really considering it.
“Whoever’s the best out there, I still have that mentality.
“It would be at 160lbs. No [I wouldn’t fight Canelo].
“If it’s at 154lbs maybe, somebody coming up from 147lbs? Any top, top, top guy at 147lbs.”
Rumours surrounding Tyson’s fight suggest the heavyweight legend will likely have a charity exhibition.
However when asked if this was his plan, De La Hoya replied:, “No, like a real fight. Seriously."
