Watch KO as heavyweight who spars with Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez knocks opponent through ropes on Canelo vs Callum Smith undercard

Frank Sanchez recorded a stunning knockout victory as he punched his opponent through the ropes on the undercard of Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez vs Callum Smith.
The Cuban heavyweight scored the win over Julian Fernandez in round seven, despite an unenthralling performance up to that point.
Mexican Fernandez was dominated throughout the contest, but drew on the support of his countrymen in the crowd.
He continued to give a spirited effort, right up until the knockout.
In the end it was a right hand from Sanchez that ended the fight.
Fernandez was knocked through the ropes and took some time before eventually recovering to his feet.
Back in October, a video showing Canelo in with heavyweight Frank Sanchez emerged.
The undefeated Cuban is 15-0 (11 KOs) and stands at 6ft 4ins tall.
He dwarfed 5ft 8ins Canelo in the ring, but the Mexican gave a good display in the brief clip.
Sanchez hurled a huge left hook in Canelo’s direction, which he intelligently evaded.
Alvarez then closed the distance and landed some meaningful shots to the body.
In September, filed a lawsuit against his broadcaster DAZN, as well as his promoter Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions.
Canelo put pen to paper on a $365million eleven-fight deal touted as the richest in the history of sport when he signed it less than two years ago.
The agreement called for a $15m tune-up bout against Rocky Fielding in December 2018, followed by ten fights for a guaranteed $35m each.
However, after just two further bouts against Daniel Jacobs and Sergey Kovalev, problems started to arise.
As a result, they came to an agreement in November to part ways, making Canelo a free agent to go and negotiate his next fight.
This has now been finalised and the Mexican will face Britain’s Smith tonight in Texas.
