Ted Cheeseman scores massive KO of JJ Metcalf to win gruelling battle and claim British super-welterweight title on Dillian Whyte vs Alexander Povetkin undercard

Ted Cheeseman knocked out JJ Metcalf with a stunning left hook in the eleventh round to regain the British super-welterweight title on Saturday night in Gibraltar.
The Bermondsey man previously won the belt back in 2018 and felt hard done by when he lost it to Scott Fitzgerald, but has now put things right by winning it back.
The fight was a gruelling contest as Cheeseman started strongly.
In the fourth, he badly hurt Metcalf and had him out on his feet.
Remarkably the Liverpool man survived and battled his way back into the contest.
At times, he returned the favour and staggered Cheeseman in what became a brutal battle.
With the fight in the balance, Cheeseman pulled out a massive finish.
He hurt Metcalf once again in round eleven and then put together a right hand, left-hook combination which flattened him.
Metcalf was unable to beat the count.
He was previously unbeaten at 21-0, but suffered his first defeat.
Cheeseman has already had a rollercoaster career and is only 25 years of age.
After suffering his first defeat to Sergio Garcia two years ago, he went to rehab to address his gambling addiction.
Since returning to the ring, he lost his British belt in a close fight to Scott Fitzgerald.
Cheeseman always disputed the decision and has now fought back, beating Sam Eggington to earn tonight's shot at the vacant belt.
He did not let it pass him by and regained his old domestic crown.
