Hart on bizarre ‘Haye faked injury’ claims

Hart on Fury's bizarre claims that Haye faked injury

Boxing columnist for the Sun, Colin Hart, joins Drive Time to share his thoughts on the news that David Haye’s serious shoulder injury has meant his highly anticipated all-British fight against Tyson Fury has been cancelled.

The journalist disagrees with the theory that the cancellation is a form of mind games from Haye, with Fury’s camp apparently convinced there’s more behind the decision to call off the fight than meets the eye.

Haye had a five hour operation on his shoulder, but the boxer confirmed on Sunday that the surgery failed to correct the problem.

And Hart believes this, together with the fact Haye was due to receive a minimum of £3million for the bout, proves he hasn’t faked his injury, as some conspiracy theorist are suggesting.

He also adds that there is a possibility the former world heavyweight champion could fight again, though he admits it will be tough for the Brit to rediscover his past form.
