Jake Paul made light work of Ben Askren by knocking him out in the first round of their fight to improve his professional boxing record to 3-0 (three KOs).

The YouTube star flattened the former UFC fighter with a right hand inside the opening two minutes to claim an emphatic victory.

The fight began with Jake firing out his jab, while Askren countered with an overhand right.

But just as soon as it had started, it was all over.

Jake landed a single right hook which sent Askren flying across the ring and down to the canvas.

He made it back to his feet, but was on unsteady legs and so the referee did not allow him to continue.

Jake celebrated emotionally, breaking down in tears and dedicating the fight to his late bodyguard, Shadow.

He then jumped up to the commentary booth, hugged Snoop Dogg and gave his interview.

"It's been four months I've been in training camp every day, I deserve that s***.

"This is the craziest moment of my life. I told y'all I was gonna do it in the first round.

"I told y'all I'm a real fighter, I don't know how many times I've gotta prove myself that this is for real.

"This is for Shadow, my security guard who passed away ten days ago.

"He told me I would knock him out in the first round, he said he had a vision, a dream.

"This has been the hardest ten days of my life, I had to hold it together to keep this fight going and I'm just honoured to be here."

Almost immediately after, though, he had three people trying to become the first person to knock him out.

Tommy Fury, younger brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson, is one of them, while Dillon Danis and nightclub owner Joe Fournier, who fought on the undercard are others.

But it was Fury's name who trended on Twitter and the 21-year-old tweeted to say: "Let's give the people what they want."
